"What a talent Joe Nolan is, and this episode shows off not only the musical talent but also his songwriting abilities. He’s sensitive and passionate about his craft and loves to perform, allowing his audience to experience and share in the joy he exhibits bringing his music to them!
I guess all of those characteristics come naturally to Joe (see Episode 3 - Peter Nolan). I also liked his genuine humbleness when he praised the talents of his sisters during the interview portion. Wouldn’t that be an After Hours session, “Shoeless Joe Nolan (He must have quite a sock collection!) and his Family”, showcasing all of the talent in that family!"

Joe Nolan, a full-time touring songwriter and musician, has been captivating audiences with his heartfelt performances for over 15 years. Born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Joe's musical journey began at a young age, fueled by a household filled with the melodies of his parents and siblings.
Growing up on an acreage in Sturgeon County, Joe was surrounded by music from the start. His father, an avid guitarist and singer, passed on his passion to Joe, while his sisters immersed themselves in piano lessons and vocal performances. It was a family affair, with music echoing through the house and around the fire pit, creating an atmosphere ripe for artistic expression.
Joe's own musical path began when he picked up the guitar at 13 or 14, teaching himself chords and honing his craft through self-discovery. By the age of 16, he was performing in front of audiences, marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to his art.
Despite dabbling in various side gigs over the years, Joe's commitment to music never wavered. From playing nightly gigs at the Jasper Park Lodge to recording his solo album "Lost Verses" in a secluded cabin, Joe's devotion to his craft shines through in every note.
