The After Hours performance is meant to be an acoustic set. There is no PA system or monitor mix in the After Hours venue.
Guests should come prepared to play acoustically, or 'unplugged' in the intimate setting of the Commodore Restaurant as they would in a kitchen or living room. A variety of microphones will be used to record the performance including instruments and voices. A small set of speakers will provide enough foldback for the performers to hear whether or not they are 'on mic', but are not used for instruments, or for providing a traditional monitor mix. Electric instruments, such as keyboards or guitars with effects pedals will not be included in the foldback mix and will require their own small amplifier. If the amplifier is too loud for an acoustic set, it won't work within our guidelines.
We also limit the number of channels we record to 8 to keep things manageable in post.
We also require a tech spec sheet or tech rider, even for solo performers. Contact us if you need help with this. We'd be happy to help you fill one out.
